IAM District 19 proudly hosted the Advance Local Chairman Program from July 28, 2024, to August 2, 2024, at the esteemed William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center (W3). The training prioritized rigorous individualized training, impactful representation, and thorough hearing preparation. W3 Railroad Coordinator Jon Irvine prepared and taught an internal organizing segment to help with member solidarity throughout our ranks. This highly acclaimed program attracted participants from across the nation, representing both freight and passenger sectors. District 19 is unwavering in its commitment to providing diverse education opportunities to empower our members to effectively represent and engage our membership, thereby fortifying our union. If you are a local chairman or have yet to take part in this program and seek to participate actively in your union, we strongly urge you to plan to attend next year.
