The Long Island Rail Road Bargaining Coalition has reached a voluntary agreement with the Carrier, ending the strike and securing a settlement largely consistent with the recommendations of Presidential Emergency Board No. 253.

For more than three years, the Coalition made up of IAM, TCU, BRS, IBEW, and BLET stood shoulder to shoulder through negotiations, mediation, and two Presidential Emergency Boards under the Railway Labor Act. Together, we remained united in the fight for real wage gains without concessions. This agreement shows what is possible when rail labor comes together and fights as a coalition. The power of solidarity was on full display throughout this dispute.

A special thank you to IAM Local 754 for maintaining strong strike lines at every shop where our members work. Big shout out to Local 754 President Dave Negus and Local Chairman Billy Hunt for their leadership throughout this fight. Local 754 rank-and-file members were involved from start to finish, including attending both Presidential Emergency Board proceedings in Washington, D.C. Their solidarity and commitment helped make this agreement possible. Additional details regarding ratification and implementation will be provided in the coming days.
